Is it 100% cotton or a blend?

100% raw cotton denim, no spandex. That's what gives it that authentic texture and structured feel—a bit stiff at first but softens over time. The fabric ages well, it develops character with each wash.

Will the jean shrink in the wash?

A bit, yeah, like any raw unwashed denim. Expect about 0.8-1.2" (2-3 cm) after the first wash. We recommend taking your usual size and washing at 86°F (30°C) max to minimize shrinkage.

Is the elastic waist adjustable or fixed?

Adjustable. The drawstring lets you adjust the waist size to your preference, roughly between 27.6-37.4" (70-95 cm). It's handy if you fluctuate a bit or want to wear it higher or lower on your hips.

How do I wash these pants without damaging the color?

Machine wash at 86°F (30°C), inside out, with dark colors. Skip the dryer—it speeds up fading and shrinkage. If you want to keep the raw blue intact as long as possible, space out your washes.

Is the denim thick or on the lighter side?

Neither too thick nor too thin, around 12 oz. It's a good middle ground: sturdy enough to last, but not stiff like a 16 oz raw denim. You can wear it three seasons easily.
